Living record · Mértola

Species in the field.

This is a living record of the species I have planted and integrated into my syntropic system adapted to a semi-arid climate. Each entry gathers the plant’s proposed role in the system and leaves room to follow photographs, seasonal response, pruning, failures and learning over time. The biodiversity I observe spontaneously in the field is recorded on the Biodiversity page.

Living record · Mértola

One entry to follow each species.

The aim is not to promise that every species works. It is to record what happens: establishment, summer response, cover, pruning, failures and management decisions.

What I will record

For each species, I will add information when there is enough of it: planting date or season, area of the field, dated photographs, pruning or cover applied, response to drought, failures and what I learned. When something has not been measured, it will be identified as a field observation.

Species under observation

Each species appears here because I planted and integrated it into my syntropic system adapted to a semi-arid climate. The role described is a management hypothesis, dependent on soil, water, season and handling.
